I keep one big dumb playlist full of songs I like, that I often just put on shuffle when I don't know what I want to listen to. A thing I've started doing lately is to grab a couple of words randomly generated from wordcounter.net and make a spotify playlist based around a song I like that happens to be in my head at the time.
The first one is called paint loss and started with Beyoncé's Freedom. The second one, carpenter taste, is for cover songs. It started with Janelle Monáe's cover of Heroes, but I've since removed that one in favour of the Peter Gabriel cover. moon spy is a little funkier. drain machine is for Christmas.
